Douglas Tsoi,

Program Manager

For the past nine years, Douglas Tsoi has managed a diverse career in law, education and community development.  Before moving to Portland in 2006, Douglas taught global ethics and sustainability at a Quaker school in Pennsylvania and prior to that, wrote and negotiated contracts as an intellectual property lawyer.

Before joining the Vision Action Network in January 2008, Douglas led a cross-sector, collaborative project between Open Meadow Alternative School students, the Portland Schools Foundation, and the Connected by 25 coalition to produce a youth video about Portland high school graduation rates.  Douglas holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and graduated with honors from the University of California at Davis.  During his non-work hours Douglas plays soccer (but not with Karin, yet), hoards library books, goes to farmers markets, and plays chess.
